As we continue to grow nationally, reliable and secure digital systems are essential to support programme delivery, partnership management and reporting. Salesforce is used as the organisation’s core CRM system to manage partner relationships, track service delivery and support impact reporting. We are seeking a part time IT Support Contractor to help maintain and improve our digital systems, including providing support for our Salesforce CRM and broader IT infrastructure.
Job Purpose
The IT Support Contractor will provide technical support to Hygiene Hub to ensure that organisational systems remain secure, reliable and effective.
The role will include supporting the maintenance and improvement of the organisation’s Salesforce system, including the management of leads, contacts and accounts, resolving issues relating to reports and flows, and supporting staff in their use of the system.
The contractor will also provide general IT support where required and advise on cybersecurity practices to help protect organisational systems from threats such as phishing attempts, unauthorised access and other security risks.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Support
Design and implement Salesforce solutions based on business requirements using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce technologies.
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve system issues when they arise, including Salesforce errors, workflow failures and general IT problems.
Customise and extend Salesforce functionality through configuration, custom development, and integration with third-party systems.
Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business processes.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, and deployment activities to ensure the quality and stability of Salesforce applications.
Provide technical guidance and collaborate with the Salesforce administrator.
Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities in accordance with organisational standards and guidelines.
IT Support
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff across organisational systems where required.
Assist with the management and maintenance of organisational digital tools and systems, including Google Workspace, Wix and other operational platforms.
Support integration and data flow between Salesforce and other systems used by the organisation.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation and digital workflows.
Maintain documentation relating to system configurations, processes and IT procedures.
Cybersecurity and System Security
Monitor and advise on potential cybersecurity risks, including phishing attempts and suspicious system activity.
Conduct periodic system security and vulnerability checks across organisational systems.
Review and manage user permissions and access controls, particularly within Salesforce and other core systems.
Support the implementation of best practices for cybersecurity, authentication and data protection.
Assist in identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities within the organisation’s digital infrastructure.
Provide advice and guidance to staff on cybersecurity awareness and safe system usage.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
Experience providing IT support or systems administration
Experience working with Salesforce CRM, including Leads, Contacts, Accounts and reporting
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support non technical staff
Good understanding of cybersecurity risks and data security practices
Ability to work independently and manage a small monthly workload
Familiarity with Google Workspace environments
Experience reviewing system security or conducting security assessments
Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles
