Join our School Programme

Not having access to essential hygiene items can impact self-esteem, overall wellbeing and attendance. Hygiene Hub partners with schools across Ireland to raise awareness of hygiene poverty, support students in need, and build community action.

Learn how your school can make a difference - through lesson plans and educational materials, hygiene drives, or fundraising, and ongoing partnerships.

Hygiene poverty is the inability to afford or access everyday essential items, like soap, shampoo, deodorant or laundry detergent. This can affect school attendance, class participation and confidence. Through our partnerships with schools, Hygiene Hub is working to support students so that no child has to go to school without access to the basics.

can get involved

Host a Hygiene Drive

Encourage your students, staff, parents and families to participate in a Hygiene Drive to collect hygiene, personal care and household cleaning items among the school community. The items are then distributed to those who need them within your local community. We can also arrange for a Hygiene Hub representative to call to your school and give a presentation and/or workshop. 


By hosting a Drive, your school can ensure that we can continue to provide essential hygiene, personal care and household cleaning products to those who need them.

This initiative can be managed by the students to help develop their leadership and project management skills. 

what products do you accept?

We collect new and unused hygiene, personal care and household cleaning products. Our rule of thumb is: if you use an item, chances are someone needs it, but the most requested items are shampoo, shower gel, toothbrushes and toothpaste,  deodorant and household cleaning sprays.
