Hygiene Hub
Impact Report
2025

Going further than ever before

In 2025,  Hygiene Hub continued to grow its reach, supporting 176 Community Partners across Ireland, helping to provide essential hygiene products to approximately 96,000 people. Through the ongoing dedication of our volunteers and the support of our partners, we expanded into new communities, strengthening our ability to respond to hygiene poverty at scale.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

new hubs

100,000kg distributed

€40,000 for period products

new trustees

  • In 2025, we were delighted to hit 100,000kg worth of distributions - equating to approximately €684,000 worth of items since we began in 2020.

  • We continued to be supported by the Department of Health’s Period Poverty Fund and were awarded €40,000.

  • We were awarded, for the first time, multi-annual government funding from both Pobal and the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. Each of these grants will allow us to expand our network across Ireland and support particular at risk individuals and areas, while also expanding our team.

  • We opened new Hubs in Kildare, Louth, Mayo and Meath - welcome to the team!

  • We premiered our mini-documentary ‘The Impact of Hygiene Poverty in Ireland’ as part of Ireland’s fifth National Hygiene Week, thanks to funding received from the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission.

  • We welcomed three new board members - welcome Ciarán, Denise and John.

  • We expanded our partnership with Boots Ireland by opening an additional 7 drop off points, increasing our footprint to 30 stores across Ireland. We also collaborated on two campaigns: Back to School where we collaborated with Boots and Spotlight Oral Care to support families, and Christmas where Boots matched all donations received via participating stores. These campaigns resulted in approximately 9,000 additional items on top of what was donated via stores!

  • We also announced our collaboration with Harris PR and Ford Ireland which allowed us to distribute more than 4,700kg across Ireland.

  • We partnered with Thérapie Fertility which saw the opening of drop off points in Dublin, Limerick and Louth.
